Scope and Contents
This collection represents material donated by Heber and LaRee Jones. It contains a variety of items, including photographs, negatives, published books, newspaper clippings, and writings. Due to the size of the collection, it will be processed incrementally and there may be available material that is not yet represented in the finding aids. The collection will be split into three series: Washington County and regional history, Individual and family histories, and Education in Washington County. Series 1 is categorized by region with different subseries highlighting collected historical materials about each region. Series 3 contains material used and collected by Heber and LaRee during their teaching careers as well as collected historical material on the history of education in Washington County. Series 2 contains collected material about individual and family histories in Washington County. These range from family ledgers, letters, biographies, newspaper clippings, and more. The collected obituaries, funeral programs, and wedding invitations have been placed within separate sub-subseries.
