Scope and Contents
This subseries contains reference materials (photocopied articles) that were once sleeved in two binders (Volume 1 and Volume 2). The materials reflect Southern Utah historic sites and were likely used at one or more of these locations by volunteers, guides, and educators. Volume 1 focuses on Southern Utah History, including economic and cultural history, and the St. George Temple and Tabernacle. Volume 2 focuses on the Brigham Young Winter Home, the Jacob Hamblin Home, Native Americans, Pine Valley Chapel, Biographies, and Bertel Thorvaldsen’s Christus, a recreation of which resides in the St. George Temple Visitor Center.
