Glenn and Laura Snow
Scope and Contents
This collection documents Glenn and Laura’s professional and personal life, as well as their family and local history. The majority of the documents were dated from 1919-1982.
The Correspondence Series is a mixture of personal letters, but a majority is from Glenn and Laura back and forth. The Family Genealogy Series is a mixture of both Glenn and Laura’s family, with book of remembrances from prior family ancestors. The Family History Series extends to distant family and gives us a inside look on both sides of the family, Gardner and Snow families. The Historical Documents Series documents the LDS religion, Irrigation Committee, and Utah Militia. The Personal Series has a wide spectrum starting at personal books and diaries, newspapers, personal papers, and many accomplishments and memorabilia. Lastly, the Picture Series contains pictures of Glenn, Laura, work pictures, family pictures, and even some pictures of Dixie Junior College [Dixie State].

Biographical / Historical
Glenn Snow was born on March 23, 1900 to Joseph Smith Snow and Olive Thompson Bleak Snow. Glenn Snow was a twin to Grant Snow and grew up with 6 siblings, but two twin sisters died in infancy in 1895. Glenn’s Mother died in an explosion and one sister was injured in 1895. Snow attended college at Dixie Jr. College from 1919-1925. After Dixie, Snow went to the University of Utah and graduated in 1927. Also, in 1927 is when Glenn married Laura Gardner and within the time they were married they had 9 children. After graduating, he became a teacher and principle in the Washington County Schools. Then, Snow worked at Brigham Young University, University of California, Berkley, and University of Chicago. In the late 1930s Snow became the president of Dixie Junior College and apart of the Utah State of Education. In 1937 Glenn became a member of the Utah State Senate. When he retired from presidency, he continued teaching at Dixie College. Glenn passed away on July 28, 1984 at the age of 84 and his funeral services were at the Pine Valley Ward LDS Chapel.

Abstract
This collection consists of the history of former Dixie State President, Glenn Snow and his wife Laura Snow. This collection ranges from Letters, Plaques, Awards, Pictures, Certificates and Family history. Including family members from both the Gardner and Snow family.
