This collection consists of 1 box comprising 9 folders primarily of printed textual materials. The folders contain material Williams collected relating to the period 1981 to 1995. This includes her attendance at the First International Nuclear Test Veterans & Atomic Bomb Survivors Conference held 26-30 June 1995 at the University of Lethbridge, Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. Additionally there are materials from a U.S. Department of Energy-sponsored Town Hall meeting in St. George, Utah, pamphlets from the nuclear energy industry from 1981-1984, notes and pamphlets relating to Downwinders activism groups and Folder 9 contains the U.S. Department of Justice regulation on the 1992 Radiation Exposure Compensation Program.

Biographical / Historical
The Nancy H. Williams Downwinder Collection is comprised of papers compiled by Nancy H. Williams, a resident of St. George and Leeds, Utah related to her interest and activism involving atomic bomb testing in Nevada in the 1950s and 1960s and the subsequent radiation exposure of residents of southern Utah (referred to as "Downwinders") and other victims of radiation exposure.

Abstract
Nancy H. Williams Downwinders Collection contains materials related to her activism in the 1990s to call attention to the need for compensation for nuclear test veterans and atomic bomb testing downwinders. The collection consists primarily of research papers, handouts, pamphlets and news articles she obtained from her attendance at the First International Nuclear Test Veterans & Atomic Bomb Survivors Conference held 26-30 Jun 1995 at the University of Lethbridge, Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.
