Scope and Contents
This collection documents J. L. Crawford’s professional and personal life during his lifetime while living in Southern Utah. The material collected is from 1973-2008, while the bulk of the material is from 1995-2005.
Included in the collection are Crawford’s Pocket Guide to Bryce Canyon Trailsby J. L. Crawford, Bryce Canyon Through the Seasons,by Bryce Canyon National Park, and Place and Personal Names of the Gosiute Indians of Utah by Ralph V. Chamberlin
The Articles Series is the largest series, and it contains a variety of articles collected and written by Crawford. They are arranged in alphabetical order. The Correspondence Series is a mixture of personal letters and professional inquires, often with Crawford’s response letter attached. They are arranged in alphabetical order and chronological order within each folder according to the dates written. The Photograph Series contains Crawford’s World War ll, National Park, and family photographs. They are arranged in alphabetical order. The Subject / Topic Series contain a variety of information about people and topics related to Southern Utah. They are arranged in alphabetical order.

Abstract
This collection consists of correspondence, articles written by J. L. Crawford, and his research files. There are photographs of Crawford’s family, his World War II days, Zions National Park, and Bryce Canyon National Park, while working there as a Park Ranger. The collection was put together by J. L. Crawford during his lifetime while living in Springdale, Panguich and St. George, Utah.
