Leo A. Snow worked as an engineer in many different fields. One of his primary contributions to engineering in Washington County from 1870 to 1962 was in the field of water engineering. He worked on canal projects and diversion dams for many towns throughout southern Utah. He also was contracted to build several waterworks systems.

Leo A. Snow worked on many engineering projects for the various towns and cities in southern Utah from 1870 to 1962. He fulfilled the roles of a civil engineer, county surveyor, and project engineer. His work encompassed many projects throughout southern Utah including land surveys, the building of schools and bridges, and working for the Public Works Administration.
