Abstract

The David Lambert topological maps collection contains topological and geological maps of Utah and neighboring parts of Arizona, Colorado, Idaho and Wyoming collected by David Lambert during his career as a geologist. The maps date from 1906 to 1997, and most were created by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

Scope and Contents From the Series: This series is broken into five subseries. The subseries are titled by the creator’s name, the location written about, and the time period that the written memory encompasses. The subseries are arranged by the creator’s last name. Scope and Contents From the Collection: Oral histories play a particualrly important role in Mormon communities as a way to transfer the lived expereinces of community builders, pioneers, and the Mormon traditions of preserveing family history and legacy. The Murdock Aerial Photography collection contains photographic proof prints, negatives, slides, and CDs of Southern Utah and surrounding areas created by Clinton and Joan Murdock from 1982-2005, primarily for use by local planning commissions and companies developing in the region.
